Wire-brushing is a technique used to create a textured floor with an elegant look.  This has become increasingly popular with designers and homeowners who are looking for a weathered or aged look without being extremely rustic. 

A wire-brushed floor is achieved by using a hard-bristled wire brush to scrape the top layer of the plank.  The soft grain is removed, leaving only the hardest wood and exposing more of the wood’s natural grains and texture.
